I discovered yoga many years ago when living in Auckland and training as a Sports NMT Massage Therapist. The college held weekend yoga classes and I was inspired by a teacher from India who tapped a deeper inner sense of understanding of what it was to breath, move and let go. Years on and a trip to Auckland visiting a friend I stepped into a Hot Yoga Class and a further tapping sparked a stronger sense of wanting to learn and teach yoga. With over twelve years of anatomy and physiology knowledge at hand I felt confident to formally train in Yoga and in 2011 I made this happen. From there came the next step, to open a Yoga Studio here in my home town of Masterton. Now ten years with many training hours and teaching years I truly have found my passion to teach people of all ages, genders, sports people, people with long time injuries and scar tissue from surgeries have found their way to the yoga studio to “undo” patterns in their bodies to “relearning” the body to be more free, light, functional and learning to truly BREATHE. I love the fact, the journey and the learnings are endless and to pass on this knowledge in my teachings is the essence and passion to my being. Come and enjoy our many class styles, our teachers, the space and the community of amazing souls who gather at the studio. See you there, Namaste.

With over six years of regular teaching now I still love the joy and seeing the smiles on students faces. I have always had a strong fitness regime, and attended a gym and swum for many years. It took a lot of convincing to get me to attend my first Hot Yoga class. At the end of my very first class I felt absolutely amazing (thanks to Shari). I have practiced at the Hot Yoga For You studio ever since that first day. I attended Wanderlust Taupo 2015 and was inspired to take the leap into teacher training. I have since completed my teaching through Power Living and trained with Jase Te Patu in Wellington, and Duncan Peak in Bali. I now teach regular classes at Shari’s studio. I am passionate about teaching Vinyasa, Power Vinyasa, Balance Poses and love the gentler Yin as well. I hope to do more training in these areas over the next few years. My aim, when you come to my yoga class, is to make you feel as good as I do, after every single class.
